2 Simple Steps to Find What to Sell on eBay

2 Simple Steps to Find What to Sell on eBay

I used to ask this question to myself quite regularly: What should I sell on eBay? How can I get those popular consumer electronics, such as Xbox, PS3s, etc, cheap so I can make huge profit? Then I decided to take some action. Once I heard, you can sell anything on eBay, as long as it doesn't breach their terms of services.

The first thing I did was, spending some time to survey, what is selling on eBay. By doing this, I identified, I don't have to sell popular game consoles or HD TVs to make money. I research into each category on eBay. The way I look at it, if the categories are there, then there are people who are buying from those categories (niches). So, I find out what are the top selling items in those categories.

After I list the popular products within those categories, by the why it was a really long list; I took my pen and identified those, which I wouldn't have difficulties to find them. I ended up with 28 products. This means I need to go out or go online to find those products cheap so, I can sell them for a profit.

One thing you need to know is, before you go hunting for those items, you need to have clear picture about the price they would sell on eBay. Also, you need to add the shipping costs as well.

For me, success on eBay totally relies on continual research. Because, you always get new customers with new demands. That is why, you must never stop researching.

You Can Be a Reiki Master and Join One of the Fastest Growing Healing Arts of Our Times

You Can Be a Reiki Master and Join One of the Fastest Growing Healing Arts of Our Times

Becoming A Reiki Master

To become a master of anything takes time, dedication and practice. The title of Master implies that we have become expert at using something and that will only come about through practice and personal investment.

The traditional route to the level of reiki master is to first of all take the reiki one course and practice at that level until you know that you know all there is to know at that level and can demonstrate your ability to yourself and others.

This would include sessions of reiki self healing and a deepening of ones personal knowledge of the symbols, what they mean and how to use them.

You would then progress to the Reiki Two course and approach it in the same way. And then finally you would take the Reiki Master Course.

At that point you will be qualified to teach reiki to others.

But on the way you will have discovered an ability within yourself, which we all have in a latent form, to heal both yourself and others.

Some claim that a Reiki Master can be made in 48 hours......and yes one could take the master attunement in that time period, but you will miss out on all of the vital information and practice which is in the reiki one and two courses.....the very foundations of Reiki.....

A better bet is to start at the level of reiki one and then move up the line as I have described above.

The minimum amount of time required to become a Reiki Master is about 3 months. And that would mean practicing each day and carrying out self healing each day.

It may seem like a long time, but each day you will be finding out more about yourself and increasing your ability to use reiki with confidence and certainty.

Reiki Training.

Reiki training is available in a number of different forms.

Traditionally Reiki was taught in small classes or workshops for each level and this form of training can still be found.

Some of the drawbacks are that the training is crammed into a couple of days and the classes can still be quite expensive.

On the plus side....you will be able to ask questions and you will meet other people who share your interest and your attunements to each level of reiki are carried out by the reiki master during the course..

Reiki can also be studied at home with a distance learning course.

There is an audio course available where the Reiki Master talks you through each section of the you reiki training.....and also provided you with written materials, self healing MP3s, diagrams and practice sessions. You also receive distance attunements to each level of Reiki and Certificates for each level.

This option is also much less expensive.

Starting Your Reiki Training.

The main point is that you can become a reiki master. The decision is which route you want to take.

I took the home study option, simply because it fitted in with my life better and the cost was much less.

And I have to say that I am very happy with the training I received. The course has excellent email support and friends who took the other option of the weekend class have told me that there is much more information in the distance learning package.

And of course I have all of the talks in MP3 format so I can listen to them again if I feel there is something I missed the first time through.

The main thing is this...If you want to learn reiki you should go ahead and get started. I found it to be a wonderful adventure and I now know that I can help both myself and others in a real and lasting way.

Here is a link to the course I took........

If You are new to Reiki you can find lots of reiki information to help answer you questions at http://www.reiki0.com and there is also a free 7 part audio introduction to reiki at the site.

Online Shopping Carts

Online Shopping Carts

I have been researching some of the free options people have for shopping carts used in web stores over the last few months. I also have done some research on PayPal and Google checkout transaction services for sellers and buyers. Here are some of the good things and some of the problems I have found using this free open source software and services. PayPal and Google are the transaction services I used for two stores I tested using zencart and opencart.

By now everyone has heard of PayPal. PayPal became well known by it's use on eBay.com and has transformed into a very popular free & paid service. Google is newer to the game and has some great features the free PayPal doesn't. They both are very good and easy to use. In my new store I am using both. I think giving the people options can be a good thing.

The two store websites I tested I used PayPal for one and Google checkout for the other. Then I swapped them and tested each on the opposite site. I also tested a shopping cart for WordPress If you have a WordPress blog then here is a great plug-in that handles shipping and digital goods. You can also use Google with this plug-in. The only problem with Google checkout being used with any of these shopping carts is that you need a secure address in order to work with third party carts. If your hosting allows it I suggest openSSl. WordPress Plug-in

Here is a list of free open source software I have found for creating an online store. The first 2 I have installed and created stores with.

- zencart
- cubecart

Acquiring Direction For Personal Development and Success

Acquiring Direction For Personal Development and Success

Getting a direction is a critical part of being a success, and has to be studied in any personal development journey. Moving from an unconscious universe to conscious living calls for passion, direction, and goals. So let us look at acquiring direction for personal development and success.

These factors are a major characteristic in the life of every eminent leader. They all have dreams and passions. But, you may think, does not everybody have them

Most individuals do not. What they do have are undefined ambitions - vaguely desiring to travel, desiring a big house, wanting to work at something they love, whatever it is. These wants are universal. But it is not a direction if you do not go after it - it is not a passion if you do not live it.

One problem is fear. Too many individuals bog themselves down with their frights, which can come out as procrastination or laziness.

They dread losing the security of their job, even if it makes them woeful. They are afraid of hard work. Or they will get around to it later.

There are a lot of individuals sounding off about how paltry their job is. How distressed their life makes them. And all the same they do not do anything about it. They spend more time sounding off about it then fixing it. They discuss desiring a better job, then spend their spare time viewing TV.

Discover your passion. What makes you happy What makes time zip by Put it down on paper. Establish a list of what you'd do if there were no boundaries. Then go after it.

Do you have financial obligations Yes. And yes, there are others you have to think about when you make your decisions. But you are able to begin small. You do not have to alter your total life straightaway; that is gratuitous and frightening.

Rather, spend 60 minutes a day going after what you wish to do. If it is another career, for instance, learn it part-time; begin placing money aside for it. If it is a fresh skill, get a book or a mentor and practice. The opening move is the hardest - and a lot of individuals do not want to take it.

Go after your cloud nine, and everything else will click! It is not hard work if you are doing what you love.

Remember You won't fail if you forfeit 60 minutes of TV. However - you will fail inside if you do not go after your passion. Let nothing discourage you from your path. Yes, take some time off to pause once in a while. But forever remember that to drop off your direction is to lose yourself. You are on your way to success!

My Forum, My Rules

My Forum, My Rules

We have all heard this before in one form or another. It boils down to as long as I own this and you want to use it, you have to do it my way. No where is this saying more apparent than in the world of forums. There are many different reasons why someone would start a forum; no doubt the most common reason is to earn money. With the many one click install forum platforms now available, the numbers of forums have exploded.

The more popular a forum the more it becomes a target of spammers. Forum owners need to protect their forums and so they put rules in place. Rules can be a good thing for forums as long as they are not too restrictive. And if you find the rules not to your liking, you simply have a choice not to use it. (Granted, this article refers to free forums and not paid ones.)

Know what you are allowed to do and what you are not allowed to do. You must abide by the rules set out for signature links, posts, and replies. Some forums will not allow links inside of a post while others will. Just because you can add a link doesn't mean that doing so isn't against the terms of service. The forum moderators are waging a battle with spammers, intentional and unintentional, and they have no patience for honest mistakes. If you break the rules, you'll be punished.

Forum marketing is a time consuming venture. You have to find a suitable forum and register. Most forums require a certain amount of posts or that you have been a member for a certain period of time before you can start your own thread. If you are a newbie to the forum you shouldn't expect to have the same perks as a member who has made a 1000 posts. Reputations must be built slowly. It is time consuming but it can be well worth the effort.

And now for the bad news; forums are not a democracy. They are a dictatorship run by a few people known as Moderators. If a moderator wants you gone, he or she can simply ban you and you will have no recourse. Some forums are notorious for this practice. You may not have broken any rules and you may have a sterling reputation, but you can still find yourself banned. It can be frustrating and it can hurt your earnings. Is it fair? No. Still, the forum owner is paying for the hosting and the domain name. It is his or her forum and that means it is his or her rules; no matter how arbitrary. That is the tricky part.

Stay on "T-A-S-K" With Your Resume

Stay on "T-A-S-K" With Your Resume

Truth or Trouble: It is always important to be 100% truthful on your resume, even if it seems like you're just fudging a teeny-tiny little bit. Dates of employment, degrees held, awards won and other information should always be unwaveringly truthful. You won't like the consequence of shame, embarrassment and not being offered the job when the hiring manager checks on your background and discovers that you've lied on a resume. Most companies have a zero-tolerance policy against lying, so don't test it out!

Appearances Matter: Spend the time and money needed to create a quality resume, don't print yours up on inexpensive copy paper with a fussy font and unsightly copier carbon streaks. Instead, use higher grade stationery and select a conservative font with reader-friendly serifs. If your printer isn't up to the task, transfer your resume to a CD or USB memory stick and take to a professional copy center for reprints. And, since you've invested the money, it would be a good time to double check for typos and mistakes.

Showcase Your Strengths: Always put the proverbial best foot forward when creating a resume. Sell yourself with a mission statement and follow up with information in the remainder of your resume that supports your case. If you haven't worked in a while, forgo a traditional, chronological resume and use a skills-oriented or functional format that allows you to organize information by competence.

Keep Fluff Away: If you are a seasoned executive with many years of experience, you may actually need a two-page resume. But, if you are listing every single job you've held since high-school or rattling off every two-bit client you've ever worked with, it's time to cut and then edit some more! Here's a resume how to, dump all information that is superfluous and irrelevant to the job you are seeking and you will find your resume to be much more readable by a prospective employer.
